Lim Wui Liang

Lim Wui Liang is a multimedia storyteller and a 2010 graduate at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Liang joined The Straits Times, Singapore’s largest English broadsheet, as a photojournalist after graduating from college in 2004.

He has travelled extensively in Asia and the rest of the world. Some of the places he has visited are China, Morocco, Pakistan, North Korea, the Middle East, and Everest Base Camp. He is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

His work has garnered in-house awards including a Singapore Press Holdings “Feature Picture of the Year” for 2008. That year, he also won an IFRA Gold Award for Best in Photojournalism and participated in the annual Missouri Photo Workshop held in St James, Missouri.

Besides capturing the decisive moment, Liang feels that photography is also about transposing a feeling into an image. His work can be viewed at http://limwuiliang.com.
